dc.description.abstractArtificial intelligence is gaining popularity in every aspect of business and development of organizations. In manufacturing sector, application of this technology is constantly evolving. However, application of artificial intelligence technology in the manufacturing sector is in the various sectors of manufacturing such as the supply chain management, production testing, quality assurance and engineering. The present study is undertaken to understand the areas of application of artificial intelligence in the manufacturing sector by considering the areas of quality assurance, product design and development, purchase, order-level management, maintenance, logistics and supply chain management.
